Biography
In the mid-90's Norma was the singer/songwriter of a London group called Tiny Monroe. Part of the new-wave of new wave bunch, Tiny Monroe played in festivals along with their peers Elastica, Sleeper, Echobelly etc.
They also supported The Pretenders on their "Last of the Contenders" tour in the UK and played with groups such as Radiohead and Suede
A decade on, and now living in the Canary Islands, she formed an international group featuring guitarist Paul Asua, an Art student in Tenerife. They were introduced to Cuban Bass player Yoly, and along with Segovian percussionist Manuel Cubero-Cid began their first concerts in Tenerife, playing songs from the home-produced eleven-track demo "Goodbye Rock and Roll".
Her latest release, The Cyber Cafe, has eleven new songs, featuring extra guitars by Paul Asua on The Dead Genius. The album was home produced at the Molinos, La Palma, and has received great reviews. This year she's a semifinalist in Proyecto Demo again with three songs from The Cyber Cafe.
Recently Norma has been very busy working on the team of the new cultural magazine for the island Ruido. You can contact the Ruido team at
